we had a great show at Cafe du Nord last week for our CD release. Unfortunately with our stage set up the way it was there was not enough light for too many pictures. Believe it though-it was a good night!
The CDs are out and about and stay tuned for the digital release date which is coming up. We have some new T-shirts too that we will be putting up online for purchase too...
We want to thank Asa for killing his first night as a decent animal-he was thrown into the deep end and did a beautiful back flip on his way down. He is a great musician and we are stoked to have him on the team.

Hello all.
This record is done. Its been almost 2 years since we began it at
Tiny Telephone
and I can't tell you how excited we are that its done. We are really looking forward to the 4th when we can put it in you hands...
Meantime we just wanted to take a moment to give a few shout outs to some folk...
First off The folk at Tiny Telephone-Owner
John Vanderslice
is a generous and accommodating man...
the brothers Pellicci
Jay and Ian
are fantastic engineers and we loved working with them both.

Our Friend John Edman out in Stockton who recorded 4 of the songs on the CD did an amazing job especially considering the tree that fell on the roof of the studio.

Then on to Chris Forrest at
Studio Guapo
who was thrust into the fold with no warning and did an bang up job mixing.

Then on to Mike Wells who has a
mastering studio
in Hyde Street studios. He is amazing and took a patchwork quilt of an audio project and made it sound like a coherent and frankly, kick ass rock and roll record!

Our friend back east
Adam Fowler
whipped up a beautiful cover and CD art work...

My Lil brother
William
fronted us the cash to do the first round at Tiny Telephone and we couldn't have done any of it without him...

It takes a village to raise an
idiot
...and we are thankful to all the happy villagers.

on another note-we are extra pleased to announce that our friend Asa Sanchez of
Top Critters
notoriety will be sitting in on keys for the show at Du Nord. I am retiring my foot pedals and exchanging them for dancing shoes so I can really cut loose on stage :)

Its going to be a hell of a night folk...don't miss it.

the goings on...

So we have been struggling with our video footage from the show with the Sinfonietta...the show was great and we had an amazing time-once we get some decent footage worked down to a manageable size we will post it!
In the meantime...put August 4th down on yr calenders...looking for the 1st full length from ADA to drop that night at cafe du nord...more details to come...

also Jonathan and I did a little music composition for this ad which came out pretty well:

Check this out...we are doing a collaboration with the SF Sinfonietta and the Adda Clevenger children's choir for this show. Its going to be pretty amazing so be sure to come out. Also the Liverpool Oratorio is an opera written by Paul McCartney and Jonathan and I are singing in the choir... should be quite an interesting evening. The whole thing goes down at the Mission Dolores Church which was pretty much built for amazing sound (and worship I guess) so it will be epic.

Come see it.

Hey hey hey...we decent animals are making the trek across the water to the east bay for a show on Friday. The event is called Capricornicopia and its at the Uptown in Oakland. We are up 1st and show starts at 9 so be sure to come out early see...

Also on the bill are Total B.S., Inflight Nymphs, and the Dashing Suns (their final show actually) also the DJ skills of Aerin Monroe throughout the evening...
We haven't played in Oakland in a long long time so be sure to come out if you can and show some love.

So here is some bad ass video of ada tracking tambourine out at Gary Young's studio in Stockton. In fact Gary himself makes an Alfred Hitchcock
esque appearance towards the beginning though its pretty unintelligible...Also note Johnny Cruz' ability to light and share a smoke all the while never missing a beat...ah...raw talent...

The song is Western World...but we cut it down to an entertaining 2+ minutes since you can't really hear any of the music.
